Congratulations to Ms. Murray and Mrs. Stanton

At our monthly board of directors meeting on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, Ms. Murray and Mrs. Stanton were the recipients of the 2026 Lauretta Woodson Award! (https://www.pasr.org/about/service-to-others/lauretta-woodson-awards/) Congratulations to both of them!
Ms. Murray's nomination stated, "Jennifer Murray is an exceptional educator who inspires curiosity, fosters engagement, and goes far above expectations to support student learning. She builds meaningful relationships, is compassionate, is a leader among staff, and is highly innovative. Her dedication to students, colleagues, and our district is entirely admirable."
Mrs. Stanton's nomination stated, "Julie Stanton is a dedicated and highly deserving professional who supports students and staff with kindness, reliability, and efficiency. She always goes above and beyond, demonstrates strong teamwork, is always pleasant, and plays a critical role in creating a warm culture and high-functioning district."
As we celebrate the well-deserved recognition of our two members of our faculty and staff, let's take great pride in all our teamwork and the exceptional service we provide our students and parents here at Wayne Highlands School District.
